A Day of Luxury: Tour of 5* Hotel/ Vineyard with La Cava Cakery

Arrival and Welcome at La Cava Cakery, Barcelona

The day begins with a warm welcome at La Cava Cakery, our Barcelona store that is located in the very heart of Barcelona on the famous  passeig sant Joan, a 6 minute walk from Sagrada familia.  There you will meet your host who will invite you to a tea/coffee.  Departure to the hotel is at 10 so ideally arrive no later than 09.45.  If you would prefer pick up at your hotel please let us know.  

Our winery is also a unique 5 star boutique hotel and a stunning architectural masterpiece inspired by the curves of a cava bottle and the mosaic technique of Catalan modernism. The hotel’s design reflects its deep connection to the world of wine, with every detail crafted to immerse you in the rich culture and history of the region.

This award winning design that is masterfully integrated into the landscape of strains and vineyards of the Penedès, built with the same love, rigor and respect with which we make our wines and cavas. Inspired by the sinuous shapes of the bottles when they rest in the cellars, it pays tribute to the genius of Antonio Gaudí through the detrencadís effect on the cover. 

The tour will be followed by lunch in our 5 start hotel restaurant.  The lunch is a 3 course, starter main and desert with wine for each course.  

Each guest receives a bottle of Aisling Cava.

Departure back to La Cava Cakery, Barcelona is approx 17h.  

When we arrive at the winery we will have a ´Welcome La Cata Tasting experience´ before we begin the tour of the winery.  This is our famous La Cata where we pair our cava with our artisan cupcakes, this is a magical tasting experience that brings our the flavor in the both the cava and cupcakes magically.

Your adventure starts with a Welcome ´La Cata tasting experience´.  This unique tasting experience is a celebration of the art of pairing, where you’ll discover the perfect harmony between “Aisling" cava's and La Cava Cakery’s gourmet cupcakes. Each cupcake has been carefully crafted to complement the flavors of the cava, creating a sensory journey that elevates both the wine and the dessert.

During La Cata, you’ll be guided through a tasting of mini cupcakes and cava pairings, including La Cava Cakery’s bestsellers like Red Velvet and Chocolate. Your host will explain the inspiration behind each pairing, highlighting the flavor profiles and textures that make each combination so special. This experience is designed to delight your palate, offering a new and exciting way to enjoy both cava and dessert.

Tour of Hotel Winery

Our wine tour, where you’ll discover the secrets behind the production of their award-winning cavas. As you wander through the vineyards, you’ll learn about the unique terroir of Penedès and the sustainable practices that Hotel employs to produce their exceptional wines. The tour continues inside the winery, where you’ll witness the intricate process of cava-making, from the harvesting of grapes to the meticulous aging in the cellarsYou’ll also have the opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art facilities and see the impressive collection of cava bottles stored in the underground cellars.

Gourmet Lunch at 5 Hotel restaurant 

After your tour, it’s time to indulge in a gourmet lunch at the hotel’s acclaimed restaurant. The culinary team at Hotel has crafted a menu that perfectly complements the region’s wines, using locally sourced ingredients to create dishes that celebrate the flavors of Catalonia.
